Can't get 2 month old baby to settle down - please help!?

My 2 month old baby refused to sleep during the day. He is constantly moving his arms and legs and breathing very fast. He becomes like this as soon as he wakes up in the morning and last till late afternoon. Eventually he will start crying and screaming and fall asleep exhausted and unhappy. I have tried everything to calm him down. Swaddling, pacifiers, warm bath, feeding, holding, rocking, singing, put him down in a very quite and dark room, rocking in the stroller, carry him in a carrier, put him in him bouncer...I'm running out of options. I'm a new mom and it breaks my heart to see him this miserable. I also can't play with him because the entire time I'm trying to calm him down. I really wish to have a happy child. What can I do? Please help!
