Why is Evolution more popular with atheists than Creationism has ever been for Religious people?

Because knowing how all the flora and fauna came to be on our beautiful planet is opening up the door to new discoveries that the belief in an imaginary creator kept closed for so many years. Knowing is so much better then believing.
